Fig.6 : Not sacrificed animals.These are horns, jaws etc of wild animals bagged by the houseowner--it has been decorated with ritualistic items in a ceremony of thanksgiving to the spirits.

Fig7: The structure is actually where sacrificial animal is tied-on for slaughtering during construction of a new house etc. And yes you are right, it stands till it decays on its own and is left undisturbed otherwise.
